Peak Experience is a Quebec-based yoga and outdoor retreat company founded by Jade and Megan. Their retreats are built around a simple but powerful idea: that a “peak experience” — a moment of deep connection to yourself, your emotions, and the world around you — is something everyone deserves access to, not just something that happens by chance.
Having travelled extensively, Jade and Megan noticed that North American culture tends to sideline personal growth in favour of productivity. Peak Experience is their answer to that — retreats designed to help people slow down, reconnect, and leave with practical tools for building a more balanced life.
Their offerings range from comfort retreats to full camping immersions, all combining yoga, outdoor adventure, and genuine human connection. Whether you’re an experienced yogi or a complete beginner, the approach is the same: accessible, real, and grounded in nature.
The connection to Surf Lodge started in 2023, when Jade joined us as a guest for a surf camp. She fell in love with the experience — the ocean, the energy, the community — and the idea of bringing a Peak Experience retreat to Jeffreys Bay grew from there. This isn’t a cold partnership. It started with a real experience, and that’s exactly what they’re coming back to share with new guests.

I’m beyond excited to share our next little project with you — our yoga and surf retreat in J-Bay with the surf lodge.
I’ve been traveling for the past 5 years, and to this day, my trip to South Africa in 2023 with the lodge was undeniably one of the best experiences of my life. The mix of adrenaline, surfing, and being up close with wildlife is something you don’t find just anywhere… but what really made it special was the people. Genuine, inspiring connections that stayed with me long after I left.
I remember knowing, as I was leaving, that I would be back one day. And now, getting to return with Peak Experience — and share it through my own eyes — feels really special.
I’ve always loved traveling, but more than that, I’ve always felt this pull to help people reconnect with something deeper — something beyond work, routines, and what we’ve been taught is “comfortable.” For me, happiness looks like slowing down, being present, and finding the small peaks in everyday moments.
Bringing together our love for adventure, yoga, and the outdoors is what inspired Megan and I to create Peak Experience. Seeing this vision come to life means everything to us, and we truly hope to spark something in you during these two weeks together.
